Drew's POV

I stepped into the apartment, flexing my fingers. I still had Joey at the warehouse. As much as I had wanted to fucking put a bullet through his thick skull for what he had done to Morgan, I had held myself back, settling with just busting his face up pretty damn good for the time being.

I wanted him to fucking suffer.

I looked over Adrian who was sitting on the couch, staring at the television screen blankly, not really paying attention to whatever criminal show he had on. "Yo, where's Morgan?" I asked him.

He sighed. "In her room. She won't talk to me." He muttered, not bothering to look at me.

I clenched my jaw, storming over to him. I gripped the collar of his shirt, dragging him up off of the couch. "What the fuck did you do to her?" I snarled.

Adrian just shook his head, used to my mood swings by now.. "Not anything I did." He muttered. I released him, arching an eyebrow at him as I waited on him to elaborate. "She's upset." He told me.

"About?" I demanded.

Adrian sighed, seeming to be in conflict with himself before he finally answered me. "Drew, I'm telling you this because Morgan is a friend to me, and I care about what happens to her, alright?" He told me. I nodded, watching my best friend with guarded eyes. "Morgan relapsed while she was gone."

I cursed, turning from Adrian as I shoved my hand through my dark hair. "Fucking hell." I swore, clenching my fists by my side.

Adrian sighed. "Look, Drew," he said, keeping his voice calm though I could detect the rage underneath it, "Morgan went through some tough shit while she was gone, and she's really fucking pissed at you." He told me. I sighed, running a hand down my face. I had figured as much. She just hadn’t been showing it. "I'm just giving you a word of advice to take it easy on her. She's pretty vulnerable right now, and she's a ticking time bomb."

I nodded, striding off towards her bedroom. I gently eased the door open, searching the bedroom for her. When I stepped around the bed, I cursed when I saw her crying on the floor, her shoulders shaking. "Morgan." I whispered, my chest aching at the sight of her.

She looked up at me with blood shot eyes. My heart squeezed painfully in my chest at the sight of her looking so lost and broken.

I hated seeing her like this.

"Don't." She snapped angrily, sitting up. "Do not come near me trying to pretend everything is fucking fine and dandy, because it's not."

I sighed, sitting cross-legged on the floor in front of her. "I know it's not, Morgan, but I'm trying to make up for it."

She glared at me. "How the fuck do you expect to make up for something when you have no damn clue what the hell happened to me?" She asked, her voice rising slightly. She stood up from the floor, wincing as she did so.
